This Privacy Policy explains how Debate Practice (the “App,” a working title), published by Lapp’s Online Dynamics LLC (“we,” “us”), collects, uses, shares, and retains your information. The App lets you practice timed, spoken debate rounds against an AI opponent and receive AI feedback. Because debate is a speaking skill, the App records and processes your spoken voice — please read the speech sections below carefully.
The App is intended for users 13 years of age or older. We declare a target audience of 13+ to both app stores. At first launch — before any account is created and before any round is recorded — the App presents a neutral age screen. Users who indicate they are under 13 are blocked from the online and saved experience (including anonymous play), because that experience necessarily involves a persistent identifier and stored speech.
We do not collect or store a date of birth or birth year. We store only a derived flag
(is_13_plus) recording that the age screen was passed, optionally with a timestamp and the
policy version. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a
child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at the address below and we will delete it.

When you speak a debate turn, your microphone audio is streamed for real-time speech-to-text so the App can transcribe what you said. Your speech transcript is stored together with your round history so you can review past rounds. The AI opponent and the AI judge read these transcripts to generate their responses and feedback.
To provide the spoken-practice experience, we send the minimum necessary data to the following processors. Each acts on our behalf under its own terms and privacy policy:

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising. Outbound transactional email (for example, account-verification codes) is delivered through our email provider (Resend).
We retain your account, profile, and saved rounds (including your speech transcripts) for as long as your account exists, so you can review your practice history. Audio sent to Deepgram for transcription is processed in real time and is not retained by us as a stored audio file — only the resulting text transcript is kept with your round. When you delete your account, we permanently and irreversibly delete your account, profile, and all saved rounds and transcripts (see Section 7 and the account-deletion page). Our processors retain data only per their own policies and our agreements with them.
You can edit your profile in the App, sign out at any time, and delete your account and all associated data from within the App (Profile → Delete account) or by requesting deletion at the contact below. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. See the Delete Account page for details.
App data is accessed only through our authenticated backend; the mobile app never holds privileged service keys. Data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, surfaced in the App.
